So I have been in business coming up 2 years now and have noticed that the majority of my new clients come through referring clients. So I thought why not REWARD my clients for referring me! From today I will be giving my clients a $50 voucher every time they refer a friend who books in for a full session! Remember to have this work you need to tell them to let me know you referred them 🙂
So my studio has been coming in leaps and bounds the past week or so with my amazing husband finishing off all the plastering ready for some flooring and painting! Sooooo exciting!
The front north facing window lets in beautiful lighting which I will love using for all my sessions including finally being able to offer some boudoir sessions again. A small ensuite will mean my studio is fully self contained with everything we will ever need.
Frontage is getting there with fence half way done and paving nearly completed. Now it’s ready for me to work out what I will be adding to my little garden right there in front of the fence 😉
This photo shows the giant back area. My desk will be set up along there with a flat screen on the back wall for my little clients (and big clients) to watch during long newborn sessions.
Storage is a must for any newborn photographer! My storage space will have lots of shelving so I can pack away all of my beautiful props. I will have a small kitchen area which will have all those things that may be needed for sleep deprived parents like coffee 😉

So last June my husband and I were excited to finally get back into our own home! We opted for an older home on a large block close to the beach and to top it off it had a large double shed that was perfect for my soon to be studio! Anyone that has renovated before would know that things take time and although progress has been slower than I had hoped it is finally starting to come together! It has been a HUGE transformation from an old rusty shed to what is turning into my dream photography studio!
The studio will have an ensuite and kitchenette so I have everything I could ever need right there. Side access is a huge bonus so my clients will be able to park and come straight through the side (soon to be) gate. This means no trying to keep my house semi presentable whilst trying to renovate with 4 children! As you could imagine, this is less than ideal however having a space in the house is better than not having one at all!
So far the old shed has been pulled down and slab extended to the original plans.
My wonderful handy husband has built it from scratch first of all standing the steel for the walls and putting the windows in.
These past few weeks has seen the new walls put up and new roof added.
This week the electrician came in and the plumber will be in this week also. A new fence seperating the back yard from the studio area will be added, new paving will be going down and a front door will be hung. Once this is done, the inside will begin which I can’t even explain how excited I am! I look forward to sharing more with you as my dream turns into reality!
I would also like to say a huge thank you to my wonderful husband who has put so much time and effort into this for me. I am seriously the luckiest lady to have such an understanding hubby that is always willing to help out! Helps tha the is super handy too! Make sure you check out his facebook page where he shares our updates on our home renovation. He is a gyprocker but as you can see he is super handy and can do so much more than just the plastering side so if you need a job done give him a call on 0424 729 691.

This morning I did my first mother group mini session with a lovely group of ladies and their sweet little munchkins. Of course it was a little hectic – having that many toddlers in the same place at the same time is sure to keep anyone on their toes but whilst being a little crazy it was also lots of fun! I even got stacks on cuddles at one stage! Such little cuties! So here are a few sneak peeks from the morning for you to share.

Sweet little Sienna came into my studio last week with her beautiful Mumma Ashlee and Dad Andrew. Such beautiful bright eyes and already such a sweet little personality! She sure was a pleasure to photograph. I just LOVE newborn cuddles so I really do think I have the best job in the world – I know I have said it a million times lol, but I really do!!!

Please note that a limited amount of newborns are booked in per month so first in best dressed. At this stage April is the only month that is completely booked out with no further bookings being able to be taken. Goes to show, you need to book in advance or you will miss out.
Newborn sessions are done within the first 2 weeks when they are still nice and squishy so it’s soooo important that you book in advance.

It is always an honour to be part of such a special time in a person’s life -to seeing their beautiful baby bump to then meeting their new addition. It really is the best job in the world!
I first met them back in January when Jo and Gavin back in January when she was one of those Mum to be’s that was absolutely glowing. Then a few weeks ago I got to meet their beautiful daughter and first born Eira who had the most beautiful little expressions for me. She decided that she would for the first time in her so far short life stay wide awake for some time and take in her surroundings. This is actually quite common for newborns when they come into my studio. I love it as it gives me the opportunity to capture some beautiful awake photos that most new parents would know aren’t always the easiest thing to capture.

Little Lucy, 2 weeks and now 4 Months
This month I held my first baby mini sessions, designed for babies 4-12 months of age to capture all the wonderful things they do throughout their first year. I had babies of all ages and it was great to see them all at different stages of their development from lifting their heads, crawling and one had even started walking and he was only 10 months old. Each baby had their own little personality which I loved capturing and it was so nice seeing some of my newborn clients return. It is such a buzz seeing these beautiful little people grow up! They will be something I will look at offering a few times throughout the year because they were so much fun! Thank you to everyone that was apart of them x

I am so exciting to announce my February special which has been a long time coming but FINALLY here it is!

This special is suitable for mothers or playgroups with a minimum of 6 children. I will come to you* and your group with each child having a 15 minute mini session with me which is plenty enough time to get a few beautiful images of your child and I will also do a few group shots for you.
This is NOT for babies under 4 months of age because the time frame allocated is not suitable.
You will receive your choice of 1 8×12 professional print or 3 5×7 professional prints.
For the first group booking I will also give away to each family a $50 voucher to use towards any full session in 2014.

Who doesn’t love twins!!! I have had the pleasure of photographing not one set but 2 sets within the last month! These beautiful little girls came into the world 5 weeks early and weighed just 2.2kg each. The bowl they are laying in is only 45cm so this would give you a good indication on just how tiny they really are!
Even though I love capturing the ‘together’ twin shots, I think it’s so important to capture twins in their ‘own’ photos. Even from this young age they have their own little personalities and it’s wonderful to capture so they have their ‘own’ photos as they grow up after all they are 2 beautiful individuals, not one.
